Medium Selection

Now that I finished my story board I have to pick the medium. For a funny face turning into a taco I think i don't have much options. Never the less I think I will use paper. I will draw each scene and erase or draw in another paper. Although, I think drawing 250 papers is a waste, so I think I will go with erasing.I had considered making out of play dough, but after knowing I had to bring it I went with paper. Also with paper it is easier.

I had also considered other materials. For example Miss Firsty had suggested that I cut it out with construction paper. And that with every change I cut out something else. That is a very good idea, I think ti would look very good like that. I will consider that idea and the drawing idea. I think the hardest part about drawing is the erasing part. I know that some eraser leave a black stain. That will be sort of a problem. All in all I am still not 100% sure about what I will use.

Stop Motion Videos

After watching these videos of stop motion, I am very very impressed! These look as if they were videos, it is hard telling that it is a stop motion. I think stop motion means pictures looking as if they were moving. It would take many steps to make this. Like making the figures out of clay or lego or drawing them. Then you have to take a picture with the slightest changes. All in all I was very impressed by this art.

William Kentridge

After watching these videos on William Kentridge I truly believe that stop motion is an art. His work makes this look as if it were a video! When I first watched a the video I thought it was a video until I saw the comments. For a person who is blind I think he has a very impressive drawing privilege. For someone to be able to draw like that being blind is amazing. And it says that there are a series of erasing and more drawings. I am truly astonishes!!
I don't quite know what kind of technique he uses for making such amazing work. This is because I have never been an art fan myself. I would think that he draws everything on separate papers. But it says that he erases and draws again. So he make every scene on the same paper. Imagine drawing  a very hard to draw drawing an then erasing it and drawing another one again and again...  That would be very very difficult. In conclusion I truly admire this man.
